speed and stability issues

Pretty much every day the inthernet will go down at some point, but don't know why. I don't know if its the router or the isp or what. The ISP is freeola, which goes to the house next door and uses a wireless router which connects to a wireless access point for all the computers here. It's worth pointing out this isn't my internet, it's somebody elses who is trying to run a business.

i did a tracert while the internet was running.

The router needs to be in the test socket behind the Master Socket faceplate for the line stats to be useful.

But it looks like a long line and something is wrong for the upstream attenuation to be so high. But, unless the router's in the test socket, there's no mileage in guessing.

My first thought is a wireless problem. Interference to the wirless signal will give you disconnections.

Does the business next door know your using their internet,

I probably didn't write that very well, what i meant was the building next door is the place where the internet is going and that supplies both. The person who owns the house, owns both of the buildings, so we aren't stealing any internet.

As John has said the upstream attenuation looks very high, this should be approx half the downstream attenuation, for instance mine is

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3153 kbps / 1020 kbps
Line Attenuation 56.0 db / 34.8 db
Noise Margin 6.3 db / 7.1 db

You would really need to plug it into the test socket and go from there, you can sue a program called Metageek inssider to see other local area networks here and what channels they run on to establish if it may be a wireless issue at the same time.

Do they get disconnections is the business site?

Are they using wireless or wired connections in the business side?
