Speeds after line fault

Last post for a while honest
After a line fault should you expect to connect at the old spped (or close to) or does it have to 'relearn' again?
I was connected at 8meg before the line falt and now connect at 6meg
My stats are below.

I haven't read your other thread but the 15dB downstream SNR margin suggests your target SNR margin has been increased (to stabilise a faulty line?). This increase will cause a drop in sync rate.

Will that drop on its own or is it indicative of a falt?
All I've read seems to counderdict each over

it should step down over time - think weeks not hours - as long as it stays stable.

Is it something that the DMT tool can sort?

DMT can bend the target SNR margin down to a lower level so gives short term relief.

I'm not sure what effect it has on BT's DLM dropping the target though - it might prevent it from doing so if it sees a low SNR despite a higher target margin but I don't know that as a fact.
