Hi,
I'm with Orange using a new Brightbox. On speedtest.net, my readings are roughly 13-15mb download, 1mb upload.
But the problem is when I am trying to either download a large file, or stream (e.g. bbc iplayer, youtube, vimeo etc), the file/stream starts quick, but after a minute or less starts decreasing in speed until it crawls to a stop.
I've tried dozens of websites, multiple computers (both wired and wireless), phones, tablets, clear temporary internet files etc. Nothing works.
Any help would be much appreciated. I've rang Orange a number of times and they have been beyond useless and an embarrassment to customer service.

What speeds do other speedtests give?
What are the connection speed, attenuation and noise margin figures from the router too?
Also pay www.speedtester.bt.com a visit and copy/paste the results

Hi MrSaffron,
I see the same issue described above with brightbox.
Speedtest.net result:
ping: 26ms
download speed: 5.80 mbps
upload speed: 0.9 mbps
Router info:
Data Rate Information
Stream Type Actual Data Rate
Upstream 1116 (Kbps.)
Downstream 6650 (Kbps.)
Defect/Failure Indication
Operation Data Upstream Downstream
Noise Margin 6.0 dB 6.7 dB
Line Attenuation 27.6 dB 47.0 dB
When I run speedtest.bt.com, I get this:
The system is currently busy. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider
I had BT come once and give the all clear. I have booked for them to come next week as well. I hope they find something as this has been nagging me for 2 months now .

Note that this latest one is not capped. Why do they do it to some and not others?

All your stats look good
Try to Download some Test Files from http://www.thinkbroadband.com/download.html
The BT speedtester sometimes plays up. It's not you more it. Can you run it now? It ran for me.

Thanks XRaySpeX,
Now the speedtester from BT ran successfully. However, my streaming still get stuck. In youtube for instance I have to reinitiate the stream every 10 seconds.

That's not sufficient. I wanted the rest of the Advanced ADSL Status that you gave only a part of before.

It would if I had the Time Connected from same time.
I'm guessing 28 hours, but I doubt it.
