Sorry again, its a bit hectic here at the moment - I won't be around for a few days after tomorrow. I think TT are LLU here but I'm not 100% sure. Problems now getting worse where it is difficult to use internet in the evening because of waiting for web pages to load. PO technical say they are investigating!

The BTW speedftest progresses through the diagnostics and comes up with error -

""Your speed test has completed and the results are shown above, however during the test an error occurred while trying to
retrieve additional details regarding your service. As a result we are unable to determine if the speed you received during the test
is acceptable for your service. Please re-run the test if you require this additional information.""

Its been the same since around the beginning of December. Prior to that my IP profile was 6Mbps.

That's cuz PO have switched you from BTw, to which the BTw speedtest further diagnostics only applies, to TT LLU. You no longer possess an IPP. What are the speed ranges that it shows?

I ask you again, what exchange?

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC

The exchange is Diss and we are about 2.5km out in a rural location about 80yds from a green box with overhead cables. Only signed up with PO last June but all was good with IP profile at 6.0 at one stage. Just looked at BTW linechecker and it shows only 4.0Mbps max. (Annex M).
I still get bills from PO. In September they wrote "exciting improvements to tell you about.." Also in November "No changes to package prices - just displaying then in different way."

This was typical profile in September: http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/results.html...
This is 15th January 2014: http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/results.html...

Prior to all this I was with Newnet for about 3 years with better speeds than currently have.
Will I get a better connection from someone else other than PO/TT or is this the promised superfast
broadband my Council is now paying for out of our taxes and we just have to put up with it?

You don't use Annex M; just Annex A.

Probably from anyone else than PO, even TT direct. PO probably don't buy enough capacity.

Your exchange has no FTTC/fibre yet.

Thanks I thought there was some shenanigans like everything in life now . Looks like I'm stuffed so I will probably suffer the loss and hope the next one I switch to can do better than what I've got at the moment - web pages take an eternity to load - or try and give up the internet completely.
I'll see what recommendations are here at TBB
