HG612 Firewall

Hi,

I am currently using HG612 (unlocked) and a Asus AC66-u router.

I currently have the firewall on - on the Acus Router.

My Firewall is off on the hg612, is their any need to put in on?

Does it conflict with the Router Firewall, tried searching for answers but no luck.

Is your HG612 management console accessible from the Internet?

Use another connection on your phone or BT Wifi and see if you can see the management console on your external IP address

Ok, what port do i need to use?

It's http so 80, which is the default.

tried that on local but connects to my router, how would i try to connect to modem

You can't do it local, you have to use an external connection like 3G on a phone or log on to BT Wifi, or pop round your neighbours and then try.

yeah i know, but i dont know how to get it externally when my router is also on port 80, what do i put in the url

No. Don't mess with any settings on the modem. It's not accessible from the Internet because the Point-to-Point connection is done on the router. Just pretend the modem doesn't exist.
