Odder still.

I wonder - at the start of the 8 hours, did you do a re-sync of the router, or a power cycle. In other words, might those counts be for longer than 8 hours?

Even if they are, over half the packets being errored is horrendous.

Stops - thinks.
...
This isn't making sense. You have these millions of errors in 8 hours, 2746 error seconds (46 minutes) but no Severe ES. I suspect the figures.

What router is it, and how long have you had it? Have you another? If so, did you get the current one because of the loss of speed?

Probably unimportant - which ISP and package is it please?

The indispensable man or woman passes from the scene, and what happens next is more or less the same thing as was happening before.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. Sync 59999/14372kbps @ 600m. - BQM

pretty sure all stats are over the course of the 8hours or so.

I have 2 routers., I used the BT homehub up until I wanted to try figure out what was going on with the line......the homehub gives no details...

So, I plugged my second router in, it is a Netgear DGN2200 with ModFS installed.....never had issues with the router before but can't rule out that MODFS reporting might be dodgy?

updated stats:

SuperFrames: 2064766
SF (CRC) Errors: 5300
Reed Solomon: 268419662
RS Corrected: 163275291
RS Un-Corrected: 6326
HEC: 3266
Errored Seconds: 3250
Severe ES: 0

The CRC errors have calmed down to about 200 an hour for now....seemed to be a big spike of them at the time I posted the CRC graph earlier.

the stats on the routers interface show:

FEC: 163098527
CRC: 5300
ES: 3250
SES: 0
UAS: 38
LOS: 0
LOF: 0

About 10 years ago, I gave up trying to educate people about the difference. The manufacturers, who should know better, are just as bad.
