Gotcha! - street lamp

[link to this post]

SNR margin has been varying wildly in the evening/nighttime, dropping connections.

Decided to watch closely tonight while using routerstats software while keeping an eye on a streetlamp next to the telegraph pole.

SNR has been rock solid all day, 6-7db, which is quite good for me, saw streetlamp come on, then looked at graph HERE

So, where do I go from here? Who do I contact to report this?

Thanks for any input.

Well caught! I am not sure who to take this to, but the council are responsible for street lighting.

For interest sake, what type of street light is it?

Interesting. I always wondered what sunset was like on one of those planets with 2 suns.

At a rough guess, it looks like a low pressure sodium vapour. It will be interesting to see if any more instances crop up

The pair are actually more useful. I'm going to be taking a look at my street light as soon as I have a free evening

I *think* it will be Council you need to approach. This is not the first time I have come across this, but well done for spotting it. Not only should they swap the bulb, the light sensor on the top should be swapped out.

It would be the council or the contractor they use to maintain the publiclighting, either way the council will let you know.
However unless it is faulty ie not working, they would be unlikey to do much.
It is unlikely the photo electric cell (light sensor) is causing the problem but more likely the starter circuit for the low pressure sodium bulb.
