High CRC and ES count, does it matter?

[link to this post]

Does anyone know if having a high number of CRC errors and ES, on an Interleaved line will eventually result in the BT equipment putting some kind of throuhput restriction on the line?

Does a high error count get logged with the BT equipment or is it something that only concerns the receiving end? I am talking about downstream errors.

Well i was leaving that to be answered by someone who might know. If the BT equipment does restrict throughput after a certain number of errors then it would be worthwhile to know what the threshold might be.

I'll answer your question with two scenarios, say line one has 10,000 CRC errors over 24hrs and 5,000 ES, line two has 1,000 CRC errors and 500 ES. So would either of these lines be likely to get restricted because of the errors and if so what would the threshold be?
