BRAS Profile

[link to this post]

I had problems with my BT Broadband connection last week (router wouldn't sync, lots of errors and low speed when it did sync. Given that there was a BT van next to the green box about 100 yards from my house, and another BT van next to a nearby open manhole, I thought I'd give it a few days for the BT gents to sort any problem out.)

The connection seems to have settled down now. My connection has been up for over 3 days, with no disconnections (according to my router stats):

System Up Time 03:23:00:23
ADSL Speed (DS/US) 2336/448 Kbps

My BRAS profile was at 236kbps at the end of last week (due to all the problems syncing no doubt.) After a day or so of stable connection, it went up to 500kbps, where it has stuck ever since.

Should I leave it for a couple more days, or should I call my ISP? Is the 3 day wait for your BRAS profile to raise calendar days, working days, 3 days exactly or 3-ish?

Cheers

3 days plus overnight seems to be common.

BRAS profile is back up to 2000kbps now. Thanks for your replies everybody. Saved me the deep joy of phoning BT broadband support!
