Downstream decreases when phone is plugged in?!

Hi all,

my connection is being weird, well might be me lol but I just took out my sky plug from the master socket and my sync went from 4mb upto 6mb (with eclipse, waiting for MAC).
Now when I take out the telephone cable, i get full 8mb sync?!

what can I do to make it stay 8mb with the connections in, well the telephone line anyway!

Your filtering is wrong, or your premises wiring is wrong.

try it with nothing else plugged in and in the test socket behind the normal master socket.
