My speed tests using various testers always indicate a figure around 1900 kB.
During the hours between 7am to 6pm should I choose to use the net, pages load quickly and I am satisfied.
After about 6pm although the speed tester indicates 1900kB, pages sometimes take a very long time to load, and at times 3 to 5 attempts to log on are required
Plus Net is my ISP using BB+. I am only a very light user never getting anywhere near their limits and asked PN some time ago not to LLU or move me from BT or to upgrade, which they confirmed.
I would appreciate being informed what part of the circuit the speed tester checks, is it my home to the BT exchange or are the PN circuits included. Tickets have been raised with PN only to be informed there is no reason for the slowdown except perhaps a faulty BT connection.
Saturday 10 Feb 07 was particularly poor all day.
The usual master socket tests and changing splitters have been done.
Any help, comment or a link to info appreciated.
