ADSL Max Problem

hi there i have been getting real bad downloads on my adslmax service with biscit internet who i would say is great as usualli can download at 900kb/s and upload at 94kb/s but .........................lately i have been getting download = 230kb/s and upload is fine, i have spoken with biscit there ok there end so they are dealing with Bt, here is my router line stats, also could this be down to my filters nackered?

ok line stats are as follows......................

SNR Margin................5.6
Line Atteuation...........22.3
Errored Seconds........2
Loss of Signal............0
Loss of Frame............0
CRC ERRORS.............3
Data Rate.................8128
Latency...................Fast

any ideas or help please

You're syncing at the highest possible rate.

Your issue could be down to exchange congestion or more likely your ISP.

Have you run the BT speedtester? What is your IP profile?

bt speed test as follows.........................


Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 2000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 832 kbps(UP-STREAM) 8128 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1861 kbps

So you have acquired a duff Bras profile. If your ISP will not deal with this, move to someone who will.

Have a read through ........ this.

It basically means that though you're sync'd at 8Mb, your line speed is actually set to 2Mb, so you'll never get faster than this. It's referred to as a stuck BRAS profile. Get in contact with your ISP and they should get it sorted.
