IP profile problems

Any advice would be much appreciated

I'm on a max product and have had a consistent IP profile of 5500, for no apparent reason for the last few days it's dropped to 2000, checking it tonight & it's down to 1500.

Nothings changed at this end, cabling, phones etc all the same, does anybody have any idea what may be causing the problem.

My router stats as of now are
SNR Margin (dB): 14.1 21.0
Attenuation (dB): 17.0 15.0
Output Power (dBm): 12.4 19.7
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 2112 1076
Rate (Kbps): 1920 448

These dont seem to have varied much over the last few days.

Any work at your exchange? llu insallation or similar

Just checked, showing green with no recent outages so that doesnot seem to be the problem.

The line rate above is consistant with a 1500kbps IP profile, so if you had a profile of 5000kbps then something has occured.
With a low attenuation of 17db you would expect to be getting full rate sync (8128) so there appears to be an issue somewhere.
Time to do the usual checks, i.e. try the test socket if you have one, unplug all other equipment from the line, swap filters etc.

Thanks for the suggestion, I think i've resolved it having plugged, unplugged & swapped all evening I think i've found a filter thats gone us.

Never get above a max sync of 6336 due to interleving & a long cable run from the BT socket to the router, more than good enough for my needs although I might consider a rewire now!!
