Broadband DIsconnects when phone is in use

Well lately if someone phone or i even just pick up the phone to dial somewhere the internet disconnects and the modem looks sync but when i put the phone down the broadband starts working

Anyone know what the problem could me i am with tiscali 8mb

Is everything filtered correctly (sky box, fax etc) ??

Yep its been fine for about 2-3 years just recently its started disconnecting

Unplug everything apart from your modem and try it (with different filters as well). If that still fails, try the modem plugged into the test socket at the back of the master box.

But broadband only disconnects when phone is being used otherwise its fine so removing the phone line and testing modem by its self wont make much difference because it works fine anyway when phone is not being used

You could have a high resistance fault on the line. Is there any noise on the line when you make calls ?

Yes when i am connected to the net and trying to phone someone there is a buzzin/static noise

The noise goes if you unplug the ADSL modem when connected ??

There is no noise when the internet is not even when its plugged in i swapped the filters too but still thing happens when i connect to the net

Sorry ...should have been clearer! Plug in the modem and the phone into the test socket on master box, if that fails try another filter. If it works, start working back through your sockets / filters until you find a point of failure (obviously using the phone each time!)
