Having found RouterStats 2.7 to work with my Netgear DG834GV3 am now having fun getting my head around all the info.
By watching the graph of the Rx Noise vary between 15db and 0db over 24 hrs I have managed to get my LLU'd TT 8mbs to sync at 6791kbps reliably for the last 20 hours.
However one of the bits of information shown is that "Interleaving seems to be ON"
Looking at other posts having interleaving ON makes the line more reliable but slows down the sync speed and increases the ping times. However one post indicated that high FEC errors could be due to a line fault/equipment fault at the exchange.
Could somebody who knows about "Interleaving" pass his eyes across the figures below and advise whether these look good, bad or indifferent.
Downstream (RX)
Interleave CRC: 932
Interleave FEC: 144260
Interleave HEC: 0
ATM Totals:
Downstream (Rx):
Good Cells: 1495337
Idle Cells: 1340121041
Bad HEC Cells: 16525
Overflow Dropped: 0
Should I be asking TT for Opal to check the line equipment???
Many thanks
Stan
