slow speed

hi i am on pipex 8meg max but my speeds are about 2.7 meg is there any software i can get to speed it up a bit. thanks

It's unlikely that software will help a great deal.

First of all look at

Also search for the freeware TCPOptimizer which may make a difference.

We need to know your line stats from your modem/router to answer the q. Actual speeds on Max (up to 8Mbps) depend on attenuation (length and quality of line from the exchange) and the noise level (interference) on the line. Noise level and its variation determine the "signal to noise ratio margin" (SNRM - often called SNR by your modem/router).

To get 2.7Mb you are on a 3Mb or better IP Profile. Or do you mean you sync at 2700kbps?
