Streamline terminal on DSL line compatible?

[link to this post]

Hi folks,

Does anyone happen to know whether or not a Streamline Terminal (the point-of-sale payment card terminals), would work when on a DSL line?

I know fax machines work OK, but speaking with some clueless woman at Streamline, I'm not so sure now as her reply 'it may or it may not'!!

The machine currently runs on an analogue line which it shares with the fax machine - but I need to convert this line to enable broadband in my business. I'm reluctant to have to rent another line from BT just to run the ADSL.

All replies appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, but you will need to provide a filter. Please call our help desk for further guidance."

Certainly reads as if all you need to have is a microfilter between the POS box and the phone line, just the same as the fax machine will.
