ADSL2 stats

A friend of mine who emigrated to france sent me the following stats;-

Downstream 2438kbps
Upstream 321kbps
SNR Margin(up) 33.9db
SNR Margin(down) 32.9db
Attenuation(up) 5.3db
Attenuation(down) 13.0db

Looking at his snr & attenuation, could he get a lot better speed than 2438?

The line seems to be on some sort of fixed rate as the SNR is very high. Would suggest they check what speed they have bought - looks like 2Mbps.
