Hi,
After more than 2 weeks having issue with this low speed, and BT technical team is not really helping, I decided to try my luck with the experts in this forum!
Anyway, I've just started with BT Broadband Option 1 about 2 mths ago. For the 1st mth+ I have been able to get good speed on my line, about 2.5 mbps. However, for the last 2 weeks everything gone mad. My speed almost consistently at 130kbps. For info, here are the details of my line taken from the router:
Downstream 3,456 Kbps
Upstream 448 Kbps
VPI/VCI 0/38
Type PPPoA
Modulation ITU-T G.992.1
Latency type Interleave
Noise margin (Down/Up) 14.8 dB / 21.0 dB
Line attenuation (Down/Up) 47.0 dB / 25.5 dB
Output power (Down/Up) 19.4 dBm / 12.1 dBm
Loss of Framing (Local) 54
Loss of Signal (Local) 34
Loss of Power (Local) 0
FEC Errors (Down/Up) 79 / 0
CRC Errors (Down/Up) 0 / 2147480001
HEC Errors (Down/Up) 0 / 0
Error Seconds (Local) 40
My speed results (with LAN connected):
Date 17/02/09 22:18:10
Speed Down 127.36 Kbps ( 0.1 Mbps )
Speed Up 378.10 Kbps ( 0.4 Mbps )

I have been connected to BT test socket for the last 2 days after advice from BT technical team. I have changed adsl cable, and micro filter. The only thing I haven't done is changing my Homehub.
I really appreciate any help. I'm now resigned to have BT engineer to come in and help to pinpoint the problem, but I'm not wanting to spend the money just yet!
