Knackered DLM?

[link to this post]

Morning Folks. We all know that it usually takes an IP profile anywhere between a few hours and a few days to come back up after a low siync event, right? And we all know that it only takes a few minutes for the IP profile to drop like a stone after a low sync event.

So, can anyone explain why after having a Downstream (NOT upstream) sync of 448kbps since 02.40 am today (and below 300kbps before that according to RouterStats), my IP Profile is still at 500kbps? My throughput according to BT Speedtester was only 349kbps, but the profile is definitely 500kbps.

I'm wondering whether the exchange equipment is playing up as my D/S sync did drop to 160kbps on Friday from its usual around 900kbps. Worth a call to the ISP?

Stats below: -

Connection Speed D/S 448 kbps U/S 448 kbps
Line Attenuation D/S 63.5 db U/S 31.5 db
Noise Margin D/S 12.6 db U/S 10.0 db

Kev.
