Snr problems droping profile

[link to this post]

Hi I have a question about snr levels

I have had about 4 new isp's in the past 2 years due to low snr levels the lowest snr was about 4-5db in the past

now my problem has seem to have gone just by it's self so am happy with my setup atm

I am currently with adsl24 for my broadband

my question is am on maxadsl 8mb upload 448

now due to my problems in the past with snr levels and my profile is on 6500
can someone tell me why my upload is only 380ish is this becuase my line can't handle any more ????

here is my stats at the moment
SNR Margin (dB): 10.9 20.0
Attenuation (dB): 36.0 19.0

thanks alan

FWIW - Your choice of ISP won't affect your SNR margins.
That's all down to the quality of your internal wiring and the length/quality of your phone line.

I've found router choice can also make a massive difference...

EDIT: It looks like your 'Target SNR' has been increased at some stage which has lowered your sync.
You'll have to switch to a different package to increase your 'upload' speed.

Hi

quote : can someone tell me why my upload is only 380ish is this becuase my line can't handle any more ????

that is quite normal the 448 Connection speedis the max data that can go through that includes various overheads see link below ,specifically UNDERSTANDING OVERHEADS.

http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/speeds2.htm

the link below will explain the relationship between SNR and connection speed .
