UK Online, X-Kryptor VPN and DIR-655 Router problem

[link to this post]

As the title suggests, I have a DIR-655 Router and my ISP is UK Online. My connection has been great and I can connect to my company's VPN with a work laptop using the Cisco VPN software and the corporate branded VPN application.

My problem is that I have another laptop I use for project specific work, which uses X-Kryptor to connect to a different corporate VPN. This connection is fine from a number of broadband access locations I use, but it doesn't work properly when I connect from home. The VPN connection is made, as I can see the active session on the router and the laptop is assigned an appropriate IP address, etc, but the connection itself is not useable. The connection to the intranet home page works randomly and external links from this page don't work at all. The mail server asks me to login and then pretends that it doesn't exist!

I have configured the router to place the problematic laptop in a DMZ, but this doesn't resolve any of the issues. I have gone through all the router configuration options and tried various settings, but all to no avail, and I have spoken to my ISP, who have confirmed that they don't block any ports.

Can anyone provide any useful guidance that will help me stop banging my head against the wall...

Thanks.
