drat!

I'm just stuck on something and wonder if you'd be the right folks to help?....

I'm trying to set up an adsl extension (which will also carry voice signal) from my BT mastersocket (NTE5). I'll be using adsl filters at both master and extension sockets. Having opened the BT master socket, there are only two wires connected from the main BT incoming line - a white and orange one to the "A" and "B" points. There are spare green and black wires not connected to anything and the remaining spare 2,3,5 are not connected to anything either.

So, on for my RJ45 extension, I'm at a bit lost as to which wires to connect up...

Sorry to trouble and if I'm being a bit dense too! (i suspect this is a rookie issue!).

best

tim

Any pair you like? Keep it consistent and go for the orange & orange/white pair.

Connect a pair to 2+5 and use the same pair at the extension.
A+B are for the incoming line only.
