Keep getting disconnected when my phone rings ?

Hi all has anyone had the same problem ?
I switch over to adsl+2 last month and had problems ever since !
I have call AOL every day about this they have told me that's there is a fault .
But still having same problem I have change a the board band equipment and a new phone but every time my phone ring I loses connect I had a BT engineer out and he say it's fine .
And I have a adsl BT open v10 built in filter.
I hope that some as had the same problem and it's been fix ?
Or any advices ?

It sounds like a high resistance (bad) connection somewhere. Make absolutely sure that the problem isn't with your equipment by (a) connecting in the Test Socket behind the Master Socket faceplate, (b) use only a filter, router and simple analogue corded phone and (c) make sure any extensions you have DON'T work while you have it set up like this.

If still happening after what the other poster suggested, then the ISP needs to arrange an Openreach engineer to look at the line side of things

As a matter of interest would the HR fault still be revealed if the simple corded phone was absent and a mobile phone was used to ring in? Or is the extra current to actually ring the corded phone needed?

stick it into the master with nothing else attached, just the modem and filter and try it. if it continues you need an sfi visit from openreach via your CP.

if it stops it may be down to a faulty piece of equipment.
