There doesn't seem to be a test socket, only the socket in the photo.
I agree with you on the wiring, but if the one in the photo is a non-BT master then isn't the wiring in Openreach's domain?

A good question as to whether the wiring is BT's.
It is quite possible that BT's responsibility ends at the point where the incoming BT cable is terminated as the faceplates are not provided by BT.

Yeh I wonder. I can't see BT messing with the building's wiring myself though since it'll all be internal. Anyone had experience of this?
