Re: EE router stats all look okay? Help needed!

The nice straight lines all look good, tbbx1 would be all over the place if there was a bad issue with the router/connection/isp

Issue may be a capacity issue to certain areas of the internet instead, hence which sites are affected being important

my exchange is ashbourne so should be all good there.

btw: DL - 10.10mbps UL - 1.06mbps ping - 44.13ms

iplayer: down spd - 10014kbps stream spd - (1) 10151, (2) 10221, (3) 9371 (kbps)

speed seems absolutely fine according to tests

will post sum more tests from times in between 18:00 and 20:00 tomorrow hopefully!

about the sync speeds? not sure what your saying here lol! as far as im aware no ring wire has been disconnected, (everything worked flawlessly when we was with sky) sorry if i've miss understood smile

also seem to have made the wireless better by switching bandwidth to 20/40mHz from 20 in the router settings!

I'm saying your sync speed is 11.7 Meg, while I'd expect 14.5 Meg with your line length.

sorry for the late reply, finally got round to having a look at the socket. there's only 2 wires connected so I assume there is no ring wire connected. checked the router stats from the test socket, they're basically identical to what I posted on here.

the sites I use for streaming are just the typical mainstream streaming sites (youtube, iplayer, itv player, etc)

thinking about ringing them up to see if they can give me a clearer picture.

ok its been a few weeks since i've replied but i think the problem has been solved.

i stumbled upon this topic on my google searches:

http://forums.tvcatchup.com/showthread.php?11595-Bri...

the topic discusses very similar problems to what i was having and has a very simple solution.
changing the default gateway for my router seems to have worked! smile

hope this helps other people

Shouldn't make any diff. Must be a coincidence.

Linked post said it didn't solve it. Then said a Flash update did.

have you read the full 5 pages? on page 3 it is confirmed that changing the default gateway worked without port forwarding. i have no idea how it works like crazy
