i'm on ptn-bg02 which apparently has 38k current users and I get better performance on it than gateways with 30k...oh well

And north clearly begins with north Manchester wink

Hazel Grove - 11 miles south of Manchester.

Speed test result just done, wired. I don't think I've lost anything, but again - to know that you have to log sync speed against the results.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 56.5/15.0Mbps @ 600m. - IPv4BQM IPv6BQM

Aye stocky...like I said, southerner wink

Upload looks a little low tbh for your sync.
If you make an account on the TBB homepage and stay logged in it keeps a record of all your speed tests and even plots a graph!
Worth doing...in my view anyway

Crikey that's a lot of tests.
I didn't bother having anything logged at all on ADSL since my speeds were pretty stable...well, on Be anyway, poor upload on Sky. Any speed tests results prior to the 13th that show upload? smile

Also I'm not a fan of eggs so enjoy wink

Most of my tests are wireless, and that has always been a very variable feast until I got the ASUS. Also as I said you need to include the sync speed when comparing speed tests, and mine has varied quite a bit for various reasons.

Now that I'm awake and I've read a wee bit it's probably updated to the most recent firmware, sigh.
Also looks like error rates on this latest firmware are increased?
Ho hum...

Umm yeah error rates seem up on the latest firmware...
FEC count is way higher too...

Should i stick with the most up to date firmware or downgrade to the older SP10 unlocked firmware and kill BT agent?

I flashed to the latest unlocked SP08 firmware and have noticed my upload sync is @ 15.35 but with the BT HH5 it's @ 17.89. So technically I'm losing 2mb of my upload on the HG612.

I took off QoS as well but should I consider trying the older SP10 and kill BT agent via Telenet as the SP08 is disabled by default in the WAN options?
