Re: Annex M worthwhile?

I can see that Fordell Road has and FTTC cabinet - opposite No 19!

You will need to wait for an EO conversion - as I said, try a few neighbours addresses and see what comes up.

Well well isnt that spooky - a reply i've been waiting for for some time just rolled in...

Hello,

I apologise for the delay in replying to you; we have had a large number of enquiries which created a backlog. "Eligible intervention area" means that your area will have fibre enabled by Digital Scotland - our remit is to rollout fibre broadband to places that are not included in a commercial fibre rollout.

Commercial suppliers can decide if a particular area is " commercially viable" (if it is easy and inexpensive to upgrade the network). If an area is marked as not commercially viable, for example if the local infrastructure would be too difficult or remote to upgrade, then it can be marked as eligible for the Digital Scotland programme. In short, your area will not be upgraded by a commercial service provider, but by Digital Scotland.

I hope this makes things a little clearer!

Best regards,
