No 13.44 Mbps was not real, unless the modem connected at a higher speed previously.

The 832 Kbps upload is a bit odd, suggesting a cap and based on your attenuation you should in theory see the speeds mentioned over at http://www.coolwebhome.co.uk/calc/index.php?param=RG... (does a calculation based on your line stats)

Most of the difference is down to the 12 dB target noise margin you have set, ISP can get his configured to a lower setting if they bother and increase your speeds further.

I seem to recall (on Plusnet) that ADSL2+ interleaved gives 832kbps upstream sync.

The indispensable man or woman passes from the scene, and what happens next is more or less the same thing as was happening before.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. Sync 57970/13958kbps @ 600m. - BQM

Andrew,

Thanks for your help, I have now reset my router to factory settings and then set up the various settings again and my stats are now as below

ADSL Link............................. Downstream ................................Upstream
Connection Speed .................15227 kbps .................................883 kbps
Line Attenuation .....................21 db...........................................5.5 db
Noise Margin..........................12 db...........................................10 db

BTW Speedtest is now reporting 17.9 to 19 Mb/s (Internet explorer) and 13.5 Mb/s (Chrome).

Looks as though that is as good as it gets until Infinity arrives (not currently on rollout plan to 2019).

Regards

Peter
