If the extension that was being used is the only bit of wiring after the master socket, then removing the bell wire may be the change that is needed. Its then either wait for DLM to see the improvement and hand back some speed over time, or get a DLM reset done by ISP.
Update for Mr Saffron and Zarjaz
EE managed to get an OR engineer out first thing this morning. He checked the line and couldn't find any issues with it.
He reset the profile of the line (sorry if that's not correct terminology) and have vastly improved speeds with the router still on the extension upstairs. Of course I have got to let this settle for few weeks. He also disconnected the bell wire too whilst he was here, be interesting to see if that makes big difference.
Here are my new router stats (at very bottom), can you spot anything obvious that's improved from the stats posted before apart from the obvious speed increase?

You both mentioned in your previous posts about the bell wire, does the bell wire only need to be removed from the master socket and not the extension socket or does it also need to be removed from the extension socket and master socket. At the moment now its not connected to master socket as the OR engineer has just removed it but could there be one on the extension socket too?
Now the line has been reset would you both recommend connecting the router directly to master socket now the reset has been done?
