Is Youtube down?

I can't reach Youtube

Whenever I try, I get a time out error

"The connection has timed out

The server at www.youtube.com is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."


I've been trying for over an hour

Is this a problem with my ISP?

Working fine for me (on Zen).

Have you looked at a tracert to see where it fails?

Tracert stops at autoconfig.zen.net.uk

Nothing after that

Tracing route to www.youtube.com 82.71.220.249
over a maximum of 30 hops

but it stops at hop number 8

with a ping time of 27ms

It’s working on BT Retail

Which DNS are you using? None of the IPs for youtube that I see begin 82.

Change your DNS settings to either of the following for testing (or for good):
1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare)
8.8.8.8 (Google DNS, primary)
9.9.9.9 (Quad9)
