I am on the option 3 package with FTTC. Oh so you're comparing a Fibre connection to ADSL2+?

Yes I am although not in a sense were one connection is better then the other.
That would be obvious.
Of course FTTC is going to be faster then ADSL....
I am just saying my experience with SKY was bad.they did not try and help me.
All I am showing is what you can get if you are in the right area and with the right ISP.
Also I am happy with BT.I am happy with the speed`s BT are giving me.
(Would`nt you be after getting [censored] from SKY for a year?)
May be I should have stated this before showing my speeds so people like you do not jump on the obvious.

I am just saying my experience with SKY was bad.they did not try and help me. You had a noisy line, probably between the cab and the exchange as going to fibre fixed it. Unfortunately, you didn't report it to SKY so they couldn't help you - could they?

Please read the forum before telling me I had a noisy line,as if you do you will see that I checked this and it was fine.

If your BT master socket has a removeable lower section, remove the two screws and the lower faceplate and you'll see a hidden test socket. Plug a corded phone directly into that, dial 17070 and choose option 2.
Is there any discernable noise on the line?
I have done as you advised friend I was told my line margin I think she said was 3.8 which she then said was good & my line was in working order.
When she played my voice back to me it was clear and no noise was present.
Also if you read the entire post you will also see I did report my fault to SKY.
I do not understand your negativity?are you with SKY?
Then stop dropping silly remarks please.
To the OP about my sig lolI am with you on that......

That is a stupid thing to post on this thread. If the OP's line was noisy enough to drag speed down, it would have dragged the Noise Margin down and in turn, reducing sync speed.
Also, why did the OP used to get good speeds, but before he switched to BT, he only got around 1.8Mbps? It was clearly a 24/7 congestion issue with the throughput.
Read the entire thread before you post!

Unfortunately, in your rush to get the insult in, you didn't read the entire thread before you posted. It's not RFI we're talking about, it's a voice fault.
