If you're stuck with a BTW ADSL connection you can pay more but it won't go faster if you are limited by the length of the line. You'd have to pay substantially more to go faster (ie leased lines, etc).
The speed on ADSL/ADSL2+ is dependent on length and it doesn't matter how much money you throw at the ISP it won't go any faster. The packages are technology based and that is what defines the maximum speed - even going from ADSL to ADSL2+ won't make a difference for longer lines.
But then you almost certainly know all these facts and so not quite sure why you argued with the previous poster.
You're incorrect. Speed IS relevant. In general one pays more for a quicker connection.
I could pay more get a quicker connection but less download per month.
Deal with that!
You seem a pita. If you are not happy, switch to BT and pay more for the same speed. Incidentally, BT charge the same for high-speed Infinity as copper - Deal with that!
