Rubbish! OP is already on max speed on a 20CN ADSL Max only exchange. The NM is high cuz it's capping him to 8 meg on a line that would go faster on ADSL2+ were it available at exchange. Indeed NM should probably be higher,

Why do you not run the test asked for repeatedly by posters? And post the contents of the two text boxes of results. It might tell us immediately the cause of your problem, and the solution may be simple.

So far you have merely repeated and repeated and repeated your complaint, and done nothing that you have been asked to except provide the line stats.

Please run that BT Speed Test. And don't just tell us the result, copy and paste what is in the boxes.

FyllyMan there's 2 options you could try, 1 someone here might have asked it before but are you connected to the main socket? 2 if it's interference, you could try an I plate, when i installed ours, we went from 3 to 5 and a half meg, thinkbb even have a video of how to install it, dissconnect the ringer wire as it's no longer required.
if you are good with technical stuff IE physically installing hardware and such it should be straight forward.
just make sure you select the right iplate for your main socket. any questions PM me.
you could try breach of contract, if it's really poor speed plus have you got many electrical appliances near you router?

Thanks! It's not always the case tho'. Always wondered how O2 used to cap to 8 Meg but hold the NM @ 6.5 dB.
