I told them it drops out, but apparently thats them "testing the line to make sure it's stable"
Yet every test the speed seems to drop. It's irritating as hell.

When was the last time you rebooted the router? What have you got connected to phone sockets, and is there anything that doesn't go through a filter?

If you have a Sky box, what happens to the noise margin when the Sky box is on?

I rebooted the router this morning. It is connected with the phone on a brand new ADSL filter (I swapped them out twice to see if they're the problem). My Sky box is on a different socket, the stats without it turned on: http://puu.sh/aEIWj/2b74e4270b.png

I've restarted the router and it wasn't at full speed, so I don't know what people are on about with that

And we are talking WHITE LABEL according to Bob, which was ALWAYS a 8Mb service. I did say I was not sure if that is still the case, so why do you have to be so continually irritating and not just simply answer the question.

Not many btw providers use btw staff to do the support

Noooo?

White label just means it is run by the provider, not the seller. I agree Vodafone and Post Office were 8Mbps ADSL Max, but that isn't relevant to EE.

EE has no broadband routers, unlike normal BT Wholesale ISPs. It does not have MSILs. It never sees the user traffic.

EE just sells a BT Wholesale service, presumably renting a particular capacity level.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 56.6/14.1Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Is your sky box connected to the phone line?

Ah, an explanation, thanks Bob. I wonder if not seeing users traffic contributes to their haven't cot a clue customer service. lol - We had a bellyful of them here. Been lounging on Freeola for 7 weeks in Suffolk. Heading north of the border to suffer EE for a month at the end of the week, God only knows what we will find. Hopefully there will be broadband back on again, after cutting it off for a massive billing error that was not owed. Promise of more free months, but they really are a joke.

I don't see your point. Are you saying that it is BTw staff that provides EE's support. AS far as I can tell EE has their own, lousy, support staff.

I heard stated many times here, that the White Label service was "Managed" by BT. Not sure if that included their lousy level of third world customer support.

Is this looking good people?

I have been on the phone multiple times about why our broadband is being cut off on regular intervals, we were told this is testing. This is fine.

Our speeds in the testing period have been put down to 4Mbps. This is ok, but I phoned them since it was 10 days on from 25th July (when in reality our broadband was live 20th of July), telling them this and they said there was nothing they could do as it's now "working days". Our speeds have not gone back up as they have told us that's the max for our line, but also telling us our max line speed is 8 to 10Mbps. This is false as we have received 12.55Mbps. Proof of these tests are here: http://www.speedtest.net/result/3640406527.png and here: http://www.speedtest.net/result/3650941702.png.

We also have technical proof, as we should actually be getting the full 24Mbps (in theory) or the full 17Mbps. This is because our line attenuation is only 10.5 dB. On a graph shown here: http://www.warcom.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/201... ours is in the range of that we should be getting at minimum 15Mbps on our line. This is if our line, cabinet and route to the exchange is fully stable.

From my intuition, and others from thinkbroadband.co.uk, we have come to the conclusion that we have an unstable line, which is not up to standards of ADSL+2 or that we are being banded due to this instability. http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/speed_guide/br...

We look to be unstable or put in the wrong band.

With this evidence, I would also like to ask why the cabinet is "full", or why our line is "not suitable for fibre broadband" when someone on the same telephone pole is suitable. This would mean our line isn't up to speed and it should be upgraded or replaced, as we are also getting a bad noise margin on our upstream rate (6.6dB)
