The packet loss reported by the OP was something we looked into (and replied to on the Community), unfortunately packet loss can have many different causes so although the symptoms may be similar, the cause may not.

for what it's worth, I'm not having any problems on FTTC. Plusnet gateway; "You are currently connected to gateway pcl-bng03. This is located in City Lifeline House." Exchange is LCWOR.

Are you sure, looking at you ping monitor i see a small amount of jitter and low level packet loss between 8-10pm peak time , both should not be happening at peak times

You are affected, you Quality Monitor says so!

Just hope it doesn't get worse to the point where you start noticing it!

That was my point. It's not causing me any problems. I had more latency and packet loss on a Sky connection.

Regardless users shouldn't be seeing these issues on their connections....

It seems to me that a certain amount of speed loss and a small amount of increased ping is to be expected on a consumer contended isp, most people would never notice, what however is unacceptable and causes lots of problems is packet loss, a connection with ping of 50ms and 2/3rds of your 'rated' speed will still satisfy most consumers. Surfing / streaming and to some extent gaming will still be satisfactory. Where it all falls down is when packet loss kicks in. Causing problems for VOIP, gaming, streaming and any other 'realtime' activity. I have survived for 10 years with a ping between 35 and 55 and a speed of maximum 7Mb and, while not perfect it has not effected me too much. I'm hoping when my fibre is connected in a weeks time to see a substantial improvement in both speed and latency.

I don't think FTTC is likely to affect latency very much. Depending on how it is routed it could even increase it.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync 60000/16961kbps @ 600m. - IPv4BQM IPv6BQM

I'm hoping that going from a long line interleaved DSL connection (I believe most of the latency comes from interleaving in my case) to a hopefully Fast path FTTC connection (I am 100M from the cabinet) will afford some improvement.

Well I expect a service to be as sold to be quite honest, also expect to be able to game when ever I want but currently playing anything fast paced online like a shooter is near impossible due to so much varying in the latency at the times I'm playing online.

Even worse if multitasking as QOS goes a bit mad by the looks of it.
