4 Mb (getting 300kbps) Manchester

Hi all,

Not seen anyone else mention Manchester or see any ticket on VM site for Manchester so I thought I would post here and see if anyone else is having speed issues around Manc.

I have the 4MB package from VM yet in the past few days the speed has suddenly been dropping to (according to various speedtest sites) 300kbps.

As a gamer this makes it impossible to play anything at all!

On Sunday the speed suddenly dropped at about 3pm for the rest of the day and yesterday it dropped at about 9pm last night. I think before this the connection was fine. I don't remember noticing any bad speed the week before.

The next mornings after the bad evenings I test the speed again and it's always running at the correct 3950kbps speeds.

Any ideas what could be happening? I'm hoping its just a glitch or some maintenance...

Hi mate

Sounds to me like it's just the heavy network traffic in the evenings thats doing you. It's the same for me (Oldham), I was down to 512k speeds again last night, and I checked it this morning and it was 18.3mb (20mb XL package).
