Acceptable power levels for 50Mb

Anyone tell me what the normal power levels for 50Mb are?

My internet has gotten a little flaky so I checked and all three channels downstream are over 10dBmV with an SNR of exactly 38.26dB.


Edit - forgot to add, I'm getting a fair few "No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out" lines in the logs too

I am having a similar issue...

Whenever I start downloading at the full speed from a news server, the download speed suddenly drops and the connections starts crawling... Then after sometime it's back to normal and I also got a couple of those T3 errors in my logs.

Below are my power levels and SNR

Note: The power levels go to 15.xx during the day time...

I've fairly sure mine used to be able 6-7dBmV and it was rock solid stable.
Just tried a download test from Astraweb (I get 49.xxMb from them usually) and I couldn't even hit 10Mb.

Just took 2 mins to open http://status-cable.virginmedia.com/vmstatus/summary.do to find there are no issues apparently

I will try and add a 10db attenuator and see if that improves the situtation

EDIT: Added a 10db and 6db attenutator and these are my readings now

Any improvement? I've got a 3, 6 and 10dB module I can try if it helps.

I put in a 10 and 6 db module and it seems to be very stable now... I guess it's too early to say...

Download seems steady at all the different times I have tested so far...

It worked for me for a short while then it went back up again

I got another 10 + 6db attentuators...

what did you buy and how does it work? any links mate?
