ntl 150 modem

As I have adsl and not really played with cable modems I'm sorta on the newbie level here.

My friend has an old ntl 150 modem. She has a number of odd problems mostly internet related and I'm wondering if the modem is not up to the job ...

So a couple of Qs

Is the modem capable with today's speeds ?
Whats the specs for the modem?
and is it worth her getting a new modem?

tell her to call VM and ask for a replacement.

Her connection issues could be any number of things.
