tried again twice today and twice it says

ULTRA DNS IS 13% faster and is best suited blah blah etc.

ive never heard of them, they rnt a type of company that sells data or anything?

Did you download and run the app? Their screenshot says ultra dns is 13% faster with the sample reports.... I nearly missed it and thought it was web based.

Tested it and it said the cable and wireless/thus server was the best with google just behind. So I set google to primary...if it is anything like the vm one then the c & w will be dog slow most of the time.

I agree on google dns it does appear to be fast on VM, also fast on ukonline as a side note. Defenitly faster than opendns which is more sluggish.

Things to also take account on when choose a dns server is if they honour ttl values, isp supplied dns servers tend to overide ttl with their own high values which means when dns record's change old values get cached and you get served out of date dns lookups.
