[link to this post]

Just logged in to my Virgin Media online account and saw this

Upgrade to Virgin Media broadband: Size XXXL Not yet available, but will be coming soon...

I am guessing this will be the 100Mbps service anyone any idea when "soon" might be?

Should start rolling out later this year by all accounts, and be complete middle of next.

I just checked my account and tried the update page and got

Want our super fast 100Mb service?
Joining our 100Mb service is easy, just click on the link below and order the new service.

Not in your area yet? Then you can pre-register and we'll let you know when the service comes to your area.
Order or Register for 100Mb broadband

Ordering the 100Mb service requires you to have our new Super Hub, you can only upgrade once you've got this new kit.

The link takes you to www.virginmedia.com/100mb which doesn't actually exist yet, I got a 404 so they're probably tweaking this at the moment.

I'm ready to embrace 100mbit, they need to haul ass and get this going asap smile

Ahh I was hoping that maybe they'd upgrade the speeds of the other packages, for instance upgrade 10Mbit to 20Mbit, 20Mbit to 50Mbit and 50Mbit to 100Mbit.

Oh well, I'll be interested to see if the pricing changes, if it does I might be tempted to upgrade to 50Mbit (I'd love 100Mbit but I don't think I'd use it enough to warrant the extra cost, infact I guess I could say the same about 50Mbit, nice to have but can I really afford it?).

I suppose there's no harm in registering my interest anyway.

it would be financial suicide for Virgin to do that seeing how much money they have already pumped into the upgrading of the network and are continuing to do so.
