Hi all,
Did anyone else notice about 30 minutes of downtime for a firmware update last night? My superhub dropped connection last night and now modem mode shows in purple on the front of the device.
Jitter is still present, but speeds are slightly higher.

mine has just updated after taking it out of modem mode.
there is little to no change in ping spikes etc.

|
Mine died at 15:10 and take 10-15 minutes.
I've noticed now that just the main LED is lit purple now (modem mode) and no other lights are lit.

Could anyone share a BQM to compare to the older versions of Hub?

I don't know if this is what you mean, but here's mine, just as terrible before and after firmware upgrade.

Err yuck... Might well stick with SH2's then... How you finding the performance of the Hub 3 and is there more than 8 downstream channels locked or is it still using 8 for the time being?

No update here, it's probably staggered by area though I'd imagine

I have 16 downstream channels showing in downstream status?
I'm new to cable, so yet to learn how it all works.
I don't think latencies are as bad as the graph suggests, however. Perhaps down to ICMP getting hit by the queueing stuff in DOCSIS 3 I've been reading about.
If you look at latencies via other protocols it seems to be much lower and much more stable.

Yes I remeber my BQM's look similarly [censored] when I had one of the SH2 N.... I still hve one actually, its got a lot better though recently the amplifier in the cab went pop and need replacing and that seems to have fixed the issues with increasing jitter I was having.
16 downstream locked ay, I assume theres still only 2 upstream locked at this time... good to hear they implemented more channels immediatly, they network needs more room to spread the load.
Any issues with the WiFi yet?? & I assume it still has a guest network option right?

Yes, only 2 upstream.
No ideas about the Wifi, I'm using mine in modem mode.

Mine is only showing 12 channels?
Well I know my area needs upgrading due to very poor peak time speeds for the last 18+ months....

Getting 12 downstream channels.
SH3 wifi was super strong when I had it installed but use a R8000 as my router.
Xbox Live was unplayable last night due to spikes, but the BQM looks reasonably normal.

I got the update last night, can't see any changes, the admin pages might be loading a bit quicker but other than that....

I have just dropped back from a hub 3 to a 2 due to very poor ping and packet loss with the hub 3.
Here is the BQM, showing the left hand part using hub 3 and the right hand part after the red line being the hub 2. Both are in modem mode.

That is quite a pronounced change. Might have to speak to Virgin again and request a replacement.

How did you manage to get it changed?
Am I right in thinking that the SH2 doesn't work with the 300mbps product?

I asked retentions dor a superhub 2 ac but was sent a 2.0. Not really a problem as I use modem mode.
You are correct in saying that the Hub 2 will not achieve the 300Mb on homeworks as the hub 2 has less downstream channels.

im peed off because the 2ac clearly does support 300 down as it is literally the same as the 3 in terms of speed, both have 1.3Gbps at 5ghz. so its a pity it doesn't have the downstream channels.
im on 300 and connected at 12 channels but my upload is at 16qam and i dont get 20 up, i only get 14 so i may drop down to 200.
