Virgin just laying cables, worth getting?

[link to this post]

Virgin over the last few weeks have been ripping up pavements around the estate so looks like I'll be able to get it soon. Currently have BT 70 meg, no fttp her😞.

So considering its all new cable and new to the estate is it worth it or will congestion/issues mention on here still be a problem?

Thanks all for the feed back.

The biggest issue is keeping the price down each year, I'm on my 3d year after moving from 60 m DSL
I got a £8ppm o2 SIM, so I get the speed double smile

They normally do good deals on new installations to get people to move over.

you then get into all kind of maths like contract length, do you want to add mobile (or add it on renewal more likely), do any TV deals make sense

Then theres how long is the install queue (My BT fibre ended up being 6 months due to colapsed ducts on first attempt, snapping the fibre on second.... , did mean 6 months of free broadband whilst they fixed it though)

Thanks, yeah suppose they just target the broadband and TV users mainly.

Just after the 1gig offering.

Got a mobile currently with them at £6 a month.
