Testing download speed?

[link to this post]

Dose anyone know how reliable/consistent this test is?

I get speeds from

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/results/id/118571161577781622743.html
to
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/results/id/118570933425711322030.html

on the 20MBps

Quite honestly, I am not over concerned with the second result, it is fast enough for me in most instances, I dont consider myself to be a heavy downloader, in as much I dont download a lot of large files on a regular basis, I use several sites that have a fairly heavy content (photo and graphics) so I just want consistent usability as I doubt the sites can handle the full 20Mbps anyway due to the fact that they are always very busy 24/7

My PC isnt the most up to date, so maybe a reason for not maxing out my line?
Athalon XP 3000+ 3GB ram
Connection Via Ethernet card.

Opinions appreciated.

Anyone that can point me to a good test file download please do so.

Thanks

Simon
