Modem not sync'ing or random disconnects?

Hi guys for the last few days my modem acting funny, trying to sync at 50mb....

I lose connection for 10-20mins at a time

i'm on 20mb mate, i'm getting connection problem because the modem is trying to load 50mb settings or something.

Your modem will 'sync' at those speeds and then receive a config file which will reduce them to the appropriate speeds. Those are the full speeds that the two channels are capable of not what your modem is provisioned at. I'm thinking that your modem isn't provisioned properly or isn't registering properly. Even your modem could be broken - give Virgin a call.

Ah there would be your issue, the modem is having trouble locking to upstream. As I mentioned before the numbers displayed are the full bandwidth of the channels, not the operational configuration. Still need to call Virgin though and get their assistance as to why you're losing your upstream lock. Probably SNR related.
