Given that 10MB/s = 80Mb/s, I reckon a lot of people with the 50Mb service would be happy with that!

I meant 10Mbits not 10Mbytes

It didn't get installed.
It's weird. It seems my house is not wired for it. But their website says, I should get it. The engineer is looking into it.

When I signed into My Virgin Media. I get:
Account disconnected.
Your account has been disconnected. You can access your Virgin Media Mail and apps, like Backup & Storage, for up to 90 days after your disconnection date. Please ensure that you retrieve all important emails and files before this time.

So I think it was cancelled.

That's what you thought - but we're talking Virgin here - hope it gets sorted - stay patient - you'll need to with Virgin's customer service staff - & be prepared for wireless droputs if you're getting a superhub
