BBC broken

Been having an on/off day of internet access. www.bbc.co.uk has been down for a couple of hours for a start, homepage just comes up with "static" in the top RH corner. Can't get to any internal links either. Lots of other sites don't always load properly, such as placeholders with no images. Getting plenty of cerficate errors too, even on big sites like Facebook, although it clears up on the next visit. I've had this on both my desktop and laptop machines. Anyone else having the same?

Cheers, although the symptoms described there don't really match up with mine.

Whatever it is seems to have cleared up now thankfully before I felt the need to call the helpdesk.
