Tried the namesco one and I got 99383kbps....which is fantastic! I'm impressed. Could the earlier results be the result of traffic management from Virgin?

If you tested just before your post time - Thu 26-Apr-12 22:50:17 perhaps your local torrent freak had shut down his client?

The thing about congestion is that it varies. Sometimes over very short timescales.

Upload has never been a strong point of the DOCSIS architecture

probably peering/routing issues been highlighted by the slow speedtest.net

I am also curious tho if the internal VM speedtest gets any favourable treatment on the UBR.

So far every single test I have done on it has been full speed and I will keep doing more tests from now on it whenever I see slow downloads.

A excellect test. I don't see much in the way of slowdowns these days apart from STM. Mind you if DOCSIS3 can't deliver the 10Mbps I downgraded to then things really are bad.
