Time to leave

Well after many years and being with Virgin Media since the days of NTL it is time to leave.

I have had my fair share of high utilisation problems as well as high ping and jitter in gaming but the icing on the cake was now that I can no longer stream my gaming to twitch because of the new Traffic management.

I ordered BT Infinity 2 yesterday. I would say my stay with VM was good but it was not...

Don't cancel your cable assuming they'll turn up as promised - wait til you actually get it connected. If you check the BT community forum you'll see there are plenty of no-shows. My booking was a no show and when I called to extend my VM connection I got a good offer so cancelled Infinity instead.

I have not cancelled yet I was going to wait until I was happy before I cancel I would rather pay for 2 providers for a month than have no Internet. My install date is next Tuesday

Well today was my install and I was estimated 62 Mb getting full 80. Very happy

Was getting approx 8.5/6MB steady during the day time and around 8.3X during the evenings from usenet...
