How the router is responding to TBB meter doesn't necessarily reflect how it will perform in normal use.

It's still the same modem in the Superhub. The router component may just be a bit 'relaxed' about responding to the pings. It's not a big deal.

Still if you have the 90 quid to spend on a nicer looking TBB meter all power to you Sir!

Had V26 for some time now on the trial, I'm inclined to agree with Igni. Modem mode gives a better graph, but no real performance boost. In the next firmware VM may well have got round to sorting this 'glitch'.
